Title 1 Math

The purpose of the Title 1 program is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.
Title 1 math students strive to acquire competency in the following skill areas:
Mastery of Basic Facts: Fluency of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts will enable the student to complete math assignments more efficiently and accurately.
Math Vocabulary: The student should be able to understand and use appropriate math terms and symbols.
Problem-solving Skills: The student should be able to identify the necessary information, develop and carry out a plan to solve the problem, check the appropriateness of the answer and explain how the problem was solved.
